I hope you all had an amazing christmas filled with family, love, and the savior.
My christmas was interesting. It was weird being away from home, but we had some awesome members that took care of us. I killed our car twice on christmas because I left the lights on...classic Sister Beck haha. Very thankful for the district leader who came and saved us every time!
This week has been good full of teaching. Sister Sapoi and I were sick for the last half of the week so we didn't get as much work done as we would like, but we still saw so many miracles.
Francis, a 9 year-old boy from our Tongan ward, has committed to baptism and is set to get baptized this coming Saturday! This is such a blessing. This will be my first baptism on the mission and I know I will remember this for the rest of my life. I wish you all could meet Francis and see the light that he brings in every room. I know that he is so ready for baptism and that he truly loves this gospel, his family, and Jesus Christ. Him and his family are my favorite!!
The rest of the the work here in Manurewa is moving along and we have so much to do...I love it!
I still don't know Tongan, but I am learning some words and phrases with sister sapoi so hopefully soon I can communicate a little bit. The tongan ward is awesome and I love them all so much. Also their singing is AMAZING!! they don't have a pianist so they sing everything accappella and it sounds so cool. I love just sitting in sacrament meeting and listening, its heavenly!
This week I have seen so many tender mercies and they have made the long and sick days so much better. I invite all of you to look for tender mercies in your life and recognize them as blessing from our Heavenly Father. Write them down and send me an email telling me about them! I promise that as you look for these blessings you will feel so much happier and grateful about life! I would love to hear from you all so send me a message and I will hopefully be able to respond today or on my next pday!
